Support the Hall

The Kansas Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1961 by the state legislature as a part of the Kansas Centennial Celebration and is operated by the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit Kansas corporation. Funding for our organization is provided through rental of the Wichita Boathouse facility, Kansas Sports Hall of Fame special events and through the generosity of donors from across the country that are committed to persevering the unique sports history of Kansas. The mission of the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame is “To Honor, To Educate and To Inspire,” and there are many ways that you can contribute to us fulfilling that mission including volunteering your time, donating artifacts, or financial assistance. In an effort to make sure that any financial support we receive is going exactly where you want it to go, the Hall of Fame has created a variety of funds. They are:

The Jack Parr Honor, Educate and Inspire Fund

This fund provides revenue for the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame’s educational outreach programs that have impacted over 4,500 youth and over 200 adults each of the last two years (2013 and 2014). Revenue from the “Jack Parr Honor, Educate, and Inspire Fund” contributes directly to funding tours, group lectures, new exhibits, field trips, and Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in the Classroom activities, which focus on teaching classroom subjects, like geography and math, through the prism of athletics.

The Endowment Fund

This fund was created in 2014 to ensure the long-term success of the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame. Revenue from this fund will be used to make necessary repairs to our facility, the Wichita Boathouse, to update exhibit materials and secure the financial future of the organization.

If you would like to help us by making a tax-deductible contribution to support our efforts, please contact the Hall of Fame at 316-262-038 or mail contributions to:
