Any Kansan may nominate candidates.  Deadline for nominations is August 31. Selections are made annually.  Candidates who, through their involvement in sports have brought pride and honor to themselves, their communities, and to the entire state of Kansas, are eligible for consideration.  Coaches are not eligible until retired.  A statewide committee comprised of 75 members appointed by the Hall of Fame Board of Directors, screens candidates for inclusion in the Final Ballot through a voting process.  Finalists are submitted to the Board of Trustees for final selection.
