The Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, located at the Wichita Boathouse in beautiful Wichita, Kansas, is proud to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of inductee Ralph Terry’s legendary pitching performance in the 1962 World Series with a special event to be held at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame at 5:30 pm on September 19th, 2012.  The event, hosted by the Boathouse Club, will feature a happy hour, dinner, and a speech by Kansas Sports Hall of Famer Ralph Terry.

Terry, a resident of Larned, Kansas, had a masterful pitching performance for the New York Yankees in game seven of the 1962 World Series against the San Francisco Giants.  That year, Terry compiled a record of 23-12, won two World Series games, and was named the World Series MVP for holding the vaunted Giants offense, which included Hall of Famers Willie Mays and Willie McCovey, to just four hits over nine shut-out innings of work in the deciding game.

Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.  Ticket prices are: $15 for Boathouse Club Members, $20 for non-members, or $125 for a table of eight.  Seating is limited.
