Kansas Sports Museum's Grand Opening Weekend

NEWTON, Kan. - The Kansas Sports Museum held a Grand Opening Celebration the last weekend of January.  Festivities began on Friday morning with around 40 members of the Newton business community braving the snowy weather to witness the official ribbon cutting at the Kansas Sports Museum.  On Saturday kids were treated with free mini-football and mini-basketballs while the adults took advantage of the sales in our gift shop.  Sunday the KU faithful turned out to see new KU football coach, Turner Gill, who signed autographs and talked to the fans.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by; it was an amazing weekend and a great way to kick off our new location in Newton.
